The Mersey Gateway Bridge is now open and this new six lane toll bridge over the River Mersey will help relieve the congested Silver Jubilee Bridge.
Drivers can pay for a crossing in advance or by midnight of the day after crossing to avoid a penalty charge.

You can also pay* for a journey you have already made by using the automated 24/7 payment system on 01928 878 878. You will need to give your vehicle registration details when you pay.
*Payment must be made no later than midnight on the day after your journey.
