Adapting to the challenges of an ever-changing world
Our ambition
In 2020, we created Arval Beyond, our 5-year strategic plan to transition from an automotive full-service leasing company to a specialist in mobility. Today, we want to go further by extending our role within the value chain and encouraging new ways of thinking. To act for impact.
Our ambition at Arval is to drive the change to sustainable mobility for all our markets, customers, suppliers, partners, and our teams. We are convinced that low-carbon, safe and responsible mobility overall is key for human wellbeing.
Our sustainability strategy
Among the KPI’s outlined in our sustainability strategy, we have selected 6 key global KPIs
(1)Average emissions of CO2 are calculated as a weighted average of the Arval entities’ fleet (Passenger cars and LCVs). In a context of regulation change (NEDC, WLTP), the CO2 emissions are adjusted to the WLTP, making use of the results of an NEDC-WLTP correlation internal study, to ensure comparable stringency. The calculations are made starting January 1st 2020 vs December 2025; (2)Electrified vehicles including battery electric, plug-in and full hybrid, representing 35% of our leased fleet in 2025; (3)Car sharing, MaaS app, bike leasing, Mobility Pass; (4)Calculation based on motor third party liability (MTPL) insurance contracts provided by Greenval; (5)2022: 15 countries out of 20 countries.

1 MILLION HOURS 2 HELP - THE FIRST PHILANTHROPY PROJECT AT ARVAL
In September 2018, BNP Paribas Group signed an agreement on Fundamental Rights and Global Social Framework with UNI Global Union, that promotes fundamental rights for employees and establishes a common social framework for close to 190,000 employees of the BNP Paribas Group in 65 countries.
As part of this agreement, the Group undertook to contribute to a more sustainable and more equitable world, in particular with the aim of reaching a total volume of 1 million paid solidarity hours at Group level by devoting a part of their working time to build a more inclusive and environmentally-aware world.
At Arval, the programme was launched internationally in September 2020. Arval Philanthropy is part of our sustainability strategy, through Engagement #9: “Sustain Corporate Philanthropy actions related to our core business”.
The objective is to reach 50,000 solidarity hours performed by employees in all Arval countries during their working time, by 2025.
